In Staten Island, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across New York vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

The owner is a pleasant, faithful, honest man with great integrity. He is very knowledgeable about cars. He has a great team. My car has been serviced here for years for all services as needed.

Recently my car was hit and the person ran away & which made me finally decide to recommit to my Subby so I brought it to NYT to get a lil refresh on the car & a fresh coat of paint. They gave me a good price & a quick timeline, but the outcome is above and beyond anything I couldve expected so I couldn't be happier w my decision. Id replaced the engine a few years ago so felt w car prices today toughing it out in my 'car payment free hoopty' was for the best. BUT NOW!! I'm gonna be proud to ride her til the wheels fall off! Really went above and beyond cleaning up the lights, fixing the misaligned bumper & removing even the smallest of dents! Thanks so much NYT! I really really love the results & will refer everyone I know 🥳 ! I put some pictures of before & after so you can see what I mean but when i took the befores I didnt think to take great befores as much as I was just trying to show the many injuries my Subby had suffered.

Guy picks up the phone very rude from the get for no reason. I greet him good morning and inquire about a tire installation where I had bought the tire already a few weeks back brand new but haven’t had the chance to get it mounted and balanced. I have a stock OEM car nothing out of the norm, he quotes me a super high price which I found to be way more excessive than what other shops had quoted me when I first purchased the tire. I asked nicely just out of the curiosity of wanting to learn about why is such an abnormal high price for amount and balance he says it’s a special tire size ( tire really was not anything special at all) i wanted to know more about what made it a special tire size and I guess he didn’t like that I asked that and began a rant about this is his pricing and that if I wasn’t a tire specialist i wouldn’t understand and ends it with this is our price if you don’t like it go else where. I genuinely just wanted to be informed about my tire and what is the specifics that made it special. Turns out it isn’t anything special it was the fact that the car make and model gave him the feeling that I was a rich guy that would pay anything I was quoted without a care. D

These guys are great. Very responsive and polite. Will answer any question resulted to your car. Reasonable pricing too. I needed a transmission fluid to be replaced and they did an outstanding job. Sometimes it's better to call beforehand as they get busy. Overall, definitely recommend this shop

A little expensive labor rate but these guys are good and trustworthy. I once heard the owner tell a customer that he wasn't going to look into a part the customer insisted was broken when he found the root cause problem in another part because if he wanted to be fair to the customer instead of charging more to replace a a part that didn't have a relation to the issue.
